Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ cup Butter, at room temperature
  • ½ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Dried Sweetened Cranberries
  • 2 teaspoons Orange Zest
  • Coarse Sugar for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F, place oven rack in center position, place Bonmat on Baking Sheet and set aside
  2. In Mixing Bowl combine Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt and Cinnamon
  3. Using a pastry blender or a fork, work Butter into the dry ingredients until Butter is the size of small peas
  4. Add remaining ingredients, mixing just until the dry ingredients are moist
  5. Turn dough onto the Bonmat and shape into a ball, then pat into a circle ¾ inch thick
  6. Cut into 8 wedges with Cake Knife and separate slightly on the Bonmat
  7. Brush each scone surface with a few tablespoons of Heavy Cream and sprinkle the coarse Sugar on top
  8. Bake 12 minutes or until golden brown
